die enc womens 7s aus sicht der israelischen 9: mutant, 13:29h
"Back from Limoges, and pretty happy with our result (placed 5th). We only used #4 balls, which was a blessing, since we're used to playing with them. However, I also know that FIRA had only 2 #4.5 balls prepared for the tournament, which is kinda stupid. Regarding the injuries... we had two players injured - one with dislocated shoulder, and the other one with a possible tear in a muscle somewhere on her foot. Both were unable to play, and therefore - yep, we had to recieve local help. I don't know about the other teams, but we used our help close to the end of games, and most of the game and work was done by our players, not by her. I don't think one player can win a game for a team (like... NZ... world cup...). It's rugby, and players get injured, and local replacement comes in for a lot of teams in tournaments. The one thing that bothered me (other then the ceremony at the end that was kind of fast and hurried and.. just not fun) was that the first day, we (group B) played in an open field. We had nowhere sheltered to wait, and due to security reasons we had to keep our equipment with us (welcome to Israel! Bombs anyway? Shocked ) also, the warm up field was very close to the stadium. Very good for group A, sucks for Group B. The refs were good.. yet way, way too forgiving about dangerours and high teckles. I was almost beheaded, and the ref was like "please be careful of high tackeling" Evil or Very Mad Also, it seems refs don't really understand that advantage works differently in 7's!!! Other then that - it was fun. Got some good tackles, played my butt off (6 full games... sheesh)." via fira forums eine zusammenfassung der insel-teams hier. haha, irland von holland ueberholt, das gefaellt mir (ein bisschen). ...
