Rugby teams without field

For me, one of the most exciting experiences in college has been playing rugby in front of a home field crowd filled with friends, family and fellow ISU students. However, with three home games left this season, my teammates and I do not have a home.

The rugby teams, both men's and women's, along with the lacrosse team have been left homeless this year due to the Rec fields on Gregory being torn up. We have no place to go, and the places we do find we are asked to leave or they are already over crowded with other club teams such as men's and women's soccer trying to find a spot to facilitate a productive practice as well.

The ISU Women's Rugby team is two years removed from the National Championships, and now they can't even find a field to have a practice on, let alone play a home match.

I'm not writing this letter in aspiration of the school building us our own facility to play and practice on. I'm writing this to simply ask for the help of anyone, be it the university, the Rec, the fans which support the various club teams, simply anyone who reads this, to help us find a home so that each of our respective club teams have the opportunity to bring a victory to ISU.

Please, help us find a home at our home.
